Arts and crafts charger by Singer & Sons of Frome

Arts and crafts brass charger by Singer & Sons of Frome. J W Singer & Sons were a foundry of monumental public statues and Frome museum has much to tell on their story. This presentation charger is from William James Bull MP for Hammersmith. It is dated 1905 the same year he was knighted. He was also a director of Singer & Sons. They took over Spital and Clark of Birmingham in 1912. The V&A has a singer & Sons brass alms dish in their collection. Wikipedia has a page on William Bull MP. Measures 55 cm diam.
